6-8. Key Check

Confirm the functions of each switch of HVR-DR60.
Jig specified: • i.LINK cable
• AC adapter
Procedures
1. Press each operating switch and confirm its operation.

6-9. LCD Indication Check

Confirm that there are no spots that do not light.
(Immediately after writing the firmware, check the LCD display.)
Jig specified: • PC (with IEEE1394 terminal and driver exclu-
• iLINK cable
• AC adapter
Procedures
1. Check the LCD display, using the HVR-DR60 check software.
Check Software Name: LCD2_e.bat
(1) Double-click "LCD2_e.bat" copied to the PC.
(2) The command prompt starts up.
The test command is automatically executed.
The message "Press any key to continue" appears on the com-
mand line and the prompt waits for command entry.
In this state, the entire LCD becomes black. Confirm that there
are no spots that are not black.
(3) Press the ENTER key of PC.
The message "Press any key to continue" appears on the com-
mand line.
In this state, confirm that the zigzag is displayed on the LCD.
Confirm that the neighboring picture elements are not identi-
cal color.
(4) Press the ENTER key of PC.
The message "Press any key to continue " appears on the com-
mand line.
In this state, confirm that the zigzag is displayed on the LCD.
Confirm that the neighboring picture elements are not identi-
cal color. (The pattern is reversed from step 3.)
(5) Press the ENTER key of PC.
The command prompt automatically closes and the check pro-
gram is terminated.

6-10. Battery Check

Confirm that the unit is powered when the battery is used.
Jig specified: Battery
Procedures
1. Load the battery on the HVR-DR60.
2. Set the POWER (mode selector) switch to VIDEO and con-
firm that the unit is powered.
Inspection Specification
The unit is powered by the battery.
