Engine ID—Enter the remote SNMP Engine ID.
Click Apply. The remote Engine ID is defined, and the Running Configuration is
updated.
A view is a user-defined label for a collection of MIB tree subtrees. Each subtree ID
is defined by the OID of the root of the relevant subtrees. Either well-known names
can be used to specify the root of the desired subtree or an OID can be entered
(see
Model Object
IDs).
Each subtree is either included or excluded in the view being defined.
Use the Views page to create and edit SNMP views. The default views cannot be
changed. Views can be attached to groups on the SNMP > Groups page or to a
community which employs basic access mode on the SNMP > Communities page.
To define SNMP views:
Click SNMP > Views.
Select an SNMP view from the drop-down menu, and then click Go. The selected
SNMP view is displayed in the View Table.
Click Add to define a new SNMP view.
Enter the following information:
View Name—Enter a unique view name.
Object ID Subtree—Enter an OID . All descendents of this node will be
included or excluded in the view. The options are:
Select From List
-
User Defined
-
Include In View—Check to include the selected MIBs in this view, otherwise
they are excluded.
Click Apply. The SNMP view is defined, and the Running Configuration is updated.
—Select to use an existing OID in the list.
—Select to manually define an OID.
