5 Service
Do not perform any maintenance operations that are not
described in this user manual. Do not disassemble the device into
its component parts to carry out repairs. The device may only be
repaired in authorised service centers.
Display configuration settings
Follow these steps to display a WLAN adapter' s current configu-
ration settings:

Connect the WLAN adapter. Connect the WLAN
adapter, p. 8.

Slide a Pocket Memo dictation recorder 8000 or 9600 series
into the docking slot of the docking station.

When using a Pocket Memo dictation recorder 9600 series,
press and hold the RIGHT SMART button and the
MENU button on the recorder simultaneously.
When using a Pocket Memo dictation recorder 8000 series,
press and hold the F3 and the + button on the recorder
simultaneously.
X The current configuration settings of the WLAN adapter
are displayed on the recorder' s screen.
Resetting to factory defaults
Follow these steps to reset the WLAN adapter to its factory
default configuration settings:
Caution
• When you reset the WLAN adapter, all your configuration
settings will be lost.
• The device is configured by default to obtain an IP address
from your DHCP server.
• Setup can only be done via a LAN connection, not via a
wireless connection.

When using a Pocket Memo dictation recorder 9600 series,
press and hold the LEFT SMART button, the RIGHT
SMART button and the EOL button on the recorder simul-
taneously for 3 seconds.
When using a Pocket Memo dictation recorder 8000 series,
press and hold the F1, F3 and the EOL button on the
recorder simultaneously for 3 seconds.
X The configuration settings of the WLAN adapter will
reset to their factory defaults, and the WLAN adapter
will restart.
X The device is configured by default to obtain an IP address
from your DHCP server.
X Setup can only be done via a LAN connection, not via a
wireless connection.

Open the WLAN adapter configuration interface by entering
its IP address in your Web browser.

You will be prompted to enter a user name and a password.
Leave the user name field empty and enter ‚administrator' in
the PASSWORD field.
