Definitions of Common Terms
Definition
A base station in a wireless LAN. Typically, an AP is a stand-alone
device that plugs into an Ethernet hub or server.
Auto-Document Feeder. An accessory that allows a document to be
fed or scanned without user intervention.
A type of wireless network in which two or more clients communicate
in peer-to-peer mode.
Auto-Duplexing Unit. An accessory that allows double-sided printing
and copying (optional).
A set of options that enables you to specify how you want the digital
copier to respond to paper-out conditions.
An output tray of a finishing unit or other paper output peripheral such
as a mailbox sorter.
