3.1 CHECK POINTS AFTER SERVICING

Items to be checked after servicing
To keep the product quality after servicing, confirm recommended check points shown below.

Confirm the firmware version on Service mode.

Confirm whether the customer complain has been solved.
2 If the customer complain occurs with the specific disc, use
it for the operation check.
Confirm playback error rates at the innermost and outermost

tracks by using the following disc.
DVD test disc (GGV1025)
Check the CD playback.

Check the DVD playback.

(Menu operation, Title / chapter search)
6 Check the iPod playback.
7 Check the tuner (FM) operations.
8 Check the appearance of the product.
Note:
For confirmation of Items No. 4 to No. 7 after disassembling and repairing a product, play back music louder than usual,

in order to check that VOCAL audio and bass reproduction are normal.
(These are for final confirmation that antivibration parts for the cabinet have properly assembled.)

Update firmware to the latest one, if it is not the latest.
The customer complain must not be reappeared.
Video, audio and operations must be normal.
The error rates must be less than 5.0e-4.
(This procedure can determine if the drive is degraded.)
