Configuration Wizard

Perform the settings that are required for device operation using the configuration wizard of
ETERNUS Web GUI.
Perform the settings in the following order.
• Create RAID Group
• Create Volume
• Define Host
• Configure Affinity Group
• Define LUN Mapping
IMPORTANT
For details on the setting procedures, refer to "ETERNUS Web GUI User's Guide".
Also refer to "Configuration Guide -Server Connection-" as required.

For regions other than EMEA&I, RAID groups, volumes, LUN mappings,
and hot spares in the following conditions are set with the factory default
settings:
• RAID groups
The RAID groups are created according to the optional disks that were
purchased with and preinstalled in the ETERNUS DX Disk storage sys-
tem.
• Volumes
A single volume with the maximum capacity (8TB or less) is created for
each RAID group.
• LUN mappings
The Host Affinity function is disabled (access to the volumes is limited
according to the port).
To change the factory default settings, delete the existing settings and set
them again. For details about deleting the factory default settings, refer to
"ETERNUS Web GUI User's Guide.
