Hoover belt. Some other belts on the market, not manufactured under Hoover design and quality controls, do not operate the agitator correctly and create undue stress which will damage your Hoover cleaner. - Page 11 THE BELT 1. Turn cleaner over. Remove metal plate on bottom of cleaner by pushing latches toward the out-- side of cleaner. Lift plate to re- lease it from wire holders. 2. Push latches, that hold agitator, in and toward center of cleaner until they are free.
