17.46.1 Syntax
pppoe set transport {<name>|<number>} welogin
{none|auto|pap|chap}
17.46.2 Description
This command sets the authentication protocol used to connect to external
PPP servers (dial-out).
17.46.3 Options
The following table gives the range of values for each option which can be
specified with this command and a default value (if applicable).

Description
A name that identifies an existing
PPPoE transport. To display transport
names, use the pppoe list
transports command.
A number that identifies an existing
PPPoE transport. To display transport
numbers, use the pppoe list
transports command.
No authentication method is used.
The authentication protocol used by
the remote PPP server is discovered
and used.
Password Authentication Protocol; the
server sends an authentication
request to the remote user dialing in.
PAP passes the unencrypted
username and password and identifies
the remote end.
