2. If the brake light fails to come on:
1. Bulb and bulb socket
Refer to "SWITCH INSPECTION" section.
2. Brake switch (Front/Rear)
Refer to "SWITCH INSPECTION" section.
3. Voltage
: Connect the pocket tester (DC20V) to the
bulb socket connector.
Tester (+) lead ! Yellow terminal
Tester (–) lead ! Black terminal
: Turn the main switch to on.
: The brake lever (or brake pedal) is pulled in
(down).
: Check for voltage (12V) of the "Yellow" lead
on the bulb socket connector.
This circuit is not faulty.

NO CONTINUITY
Replace the bulb and/or bulb socket.
NO CONTINUITY
Replace brake switch.
OUT OF SPECIFICATION
4. Wiring connection
Wiring circuit from the main switch to the bulb
socket connector is faulty. Repair.
Refer to "SIGNAL SYSTEM WIRING DIA-
GRAM".
