TROUBLESHOOTING

IF THE HEADLIGHT, AUXILIARY LIGHT, HIGH BEAM INDICATOR LIGHT,
TAILLIGHT AND/OR METER LIGHT FAIL TO COME ON.
Procedure
Check:
1. Fuse
2. Battery
3. Main switch
NOTE:
Remove the following parts before trouble-
shooting.
1) Seat
2) Fuel tank
3) Side cover (left and right)
4) Headlight unit

Refer to "SWITCH INSPECTION" section.

2. Battery
Check the battery condition.
Refer to "BATTERY INSPECTION" section
in CHAPTER 3.
Specific gravity:
1.280 at 20 C

3. Main switch
Refer to "SWITCH INSPECTION" section.

CONTINUITY

LIGHTING SYSTEM
4. Lights switch
5. Dimmer switch
6. Wiring connection (entire lighting system)
Use the special tools specified in the trouble-
shooting section.
Pocket tester:
90890-03112
NO CONTINUITY
Replace the fuse.
INCORRECT
Refill the battery fluid.
Clean battery terminals.
Recharge or replace the battery.
NO CONTINUITY
Replace the main switch.
