Problem
The LASER CLASS 2060
cannot receive faxes
automatically?

will not switch between
telephone and fax calls

Possible cause
The LASER CLASS 2060 may
not be set to receive
automatically.
The LASER CLASS 2060 may
have a document in memory,
leaving very little or no
memory available.
An error may have occurred
during reception.
The paper cassette/the
multi-purpose tray may be
empty.
The telephone line may not
be connected properly.
The LASER CLASS 2060 may
not be in Fax/Tel Mode.
The LASER CLASS 2060 may
have a document in memory,
leaving very little or no
memory available.
Solution
For the LASER CLASS 2060
to receive faxes
automatically, it must be in
FAX ONLY MODE,
ANS.MACHINE MODE, or
Fax/Tel Mode. See page 7-2.
Print out any documents
stored in memory.
See pages 7-12 and 7-13.
Check the LCD display for
an error message. See page
13-37 for a listing of the
LASER CLASS 2060's error
messages.
Print an activity report and
look for an error code. See
page 12-2.
Make sure the paper
cassette/the multi-purpose
tray has paper in it.
Make sure all telephone line
connections are secure.
For the LASER CLASS 2060
to switch automatically
between telephone and fax
calls, it must be in Fax/Tel
Mode.
