Other
Remedy
Connect ISDN line terminal on back of AV
Codec to modular jack with 8-conductor mod-
ular cable by inserting it till it clicks.
Check by reading Appendix on ISDN line
installation and setting procedures. Also
check opposite site for line installation and
setting.
Check that the opposite site terminal is pow-
ered on, and try connecting again.
Set called No. check to NO at the receiving
end and try connecting again. If call is con-
nected, then correctly register local No. again
at the receiving end, set called No. check
back to YES, and connect again.
Set calling No. check to NO at the receiving
end, and try connecting again. If call is con-
nected, then correctly register dial number
again in the directory at the receiving end, set
calling No. check back to YES, and try con-
necting again. To determine whether the dial
number is correctly reported to the receiving
end, check received calling number from the
network in the trouble diagnosis item. Register
that number in the directory.
Check if caller number is reported because it
is not always so depending on the line agree-
ment or PBX settings. Make the caller number
be reported, or set transmitting check at the
receiving end to NO.
Whether the calling number is reported or not
can be confirmed with [641 CALLING LOG]
immediately after it is received. If the calling
number is not shown in [641 CALLING LOG],
then the caller number is not reported from
opposite site terminal.
Turn off the power supply at both terminals
and then make the connections again.
