z The average consumption 1 is
calculated by dividing the dis-
tance covered since the last
"RESET" by the correspond-
ing amount of fuel used.
Resetting average
consumption
Repeatedly press INFO but-
ton 1 until average con-
sumption appears in dis-
play.
Hold down INFO button for
at least 2 seconds ("RE-
SET").
Display shows "--.- mpg".
Range
The functional description of
the operating range (
also applies to the range dis-
play. However, the range 1
can also be displayed before
the fuel reserve is reached.
To calculate the range, a spe-
cial average consumption is
used, which does not always
match the value that can be
shown on the display.
The determined range
is an approximate read-
ing. BMW Motorrad therefore
recommends that you do not
