Removing and Replacing the 743 Board Computer

This section provides step-by-step instructions for removal and replacement of a single
VME slot and dual VME slot 743 board computer.

Preliminary Requirements

Perform the following procedure before you remove the board computer from its VMEbus
chassis:
1 Perform the steps in the Preliminary Procedures section of this chapter.

Removal

Follow these steps to remove the board computer from its VMEbus chassis:
1 Loosen the captive screws (labeled 1 and 2 in Figure 5-2) at each end of the board com-
puter which hold the computer in the VMEbus chassis.
2 Raise both ejector levers outwards and pull the board computer forward out of the
VME chassis.
