Confirmation messages
"C1 : Phase L" / "C1 : Phase R" :
The +/- connection polarity of the front left or right speaker
is inverted.
➡ Ensure that the front left or right speaker is connected
with correct +/- polarity.
"C1 : Phase SL" / "C1 : Phase SR" :
The +/- connection polarity of the surround left or right
speaker is inverted.
➡ Ensure that the surround left or right speaker is
connected with correct +/- polarity.
"C1 : Phase SBL" / "C1 : Phase SBR" :
The +/- connection polarity of the surround back left or
right speaker is inverted.
➡ Ensure that the surround back left or right speaker is
connected with correct +/- polarity.
"C1 : Phase C" :
The +/- connection polarity of the center speaker is
inverted.
➡ Ensure that the center speaker is connected with correct
+/- polarity.
"C2 : No Sp C" :
The center speaker is not connected.
➡ Connect the center speaker if one is available.
If it is not available, this message can be ignored.
"C2 : No Sp SW" :
The subwoofer is not connected.
➡ Connect the subwoofer if one is available.
If it is not available, this message can be ignored.
"C2 : No Sp S" :
The surround speakers are not connected.
➡ Connect the surround speakers if they are available.
If it is not available, this message can be ignored.
"C2 : No Sp SB" :
The surround back speakers are not connected.
➡ Connect the surround back speakers if they are available.
If it is not available, this message can be ignored.
"C2 : No Sp SBR" :
The surround back right speaker is not connected.
➡ Connect the surround back right speaker if one is
available.
If it is not available, this message can be ignored.

Setting Room EQ

In addition to setting up the speakers, Auto Setup also measures
the acoustic characteristics of the listening room and creates
an equalizer curve matching them. "Room EQ" is used to select
whether or not the equalizer curve is used.

Select "Room EQ".
[AUTO ROOM EQ]
Use [MULTI CONTROL 2/3] to select "Room EQ".
[ENTER]

Select whether the Room EQ curve is used or not.
Use [MULTI CONTROL ∞/5] to select whether or not
Room EQ is used.

Display Setting
"Room EQ On" The equalizer curve obtained with "Auto Setup" is used.
"Room EQ Off" The equalizer curve obtained with "Auto Setup" is not used.
• The speaker setups made with Auto Setup are still active even
after "Room EQ Off" is selected.
