Twin recording onto MD and tape
All the tracks on a CD can be recorded simultaneously onto an MD and tape. (All-track twin recording)
The current track can be recorded from the beginning simultaneously onto an MD and tape. (single-
track twin recording)
Be sure to put the MD recorder and cassette deck in stop mode.

Make the preparations for recording.
1 MD
: Perform steps 1. of the procedure in "Recording on MD".
TAPE : Perform steps 1. to 3. of the procedure in "Recording on tape".
2 Insert disc in the CD player.

Check the current play mode of the CD player.
TWIN REC (all-track twin recording)
If it is in play mode, stop it.

Start recording.
1 Select "REC MODE ?" then
"TWIN REC ?".

÷ If the "set/demo" key is pressed when the
returns to the beginning of the track that is currently playing, the "REC" indicator lights and recording starts.
To interrupt a recording

Always remove the disc after recording.

Select the desired CD track and play it.

To record other tracks using "TWIN REC (single-track
twin recording)", repeat steps 2 and 3 for each track.
Turning the knob switches the function as shown in
the character information display.

At the end of the recording
MD recorder
: Stop.
Cassette deck : Stop is executed after an unre-
corded portion of about 4 sec. has
been produced.
"WRITING" displayed during the minidisc ejection
operation indicates that the data associated with
recording or editing is being written on the disc. Do
not apply vibration or shock to the unit while this
message is displayed.
