Emergency remote speaker microphone (rsm)

CAUTION!
RADIO PROGRAMMING REQUIRED - Read Carefully!
The following radio programming is REQUIRED for the
RSM's Emergency button to operate properly.
!
Emergency activation from the RSM is delayed until
programmed Pre-Alert and Post-Alert delays elapse.
C a u t i o n
Factory defaults or previous programming could have set
the delay times to as long as 8-120 seconds (depending
on the radio model), so it is essential that the radio be
checked and programmed appropriately.
Programming of the Pre-Alert and Post-Alert delays affects
only the RSM's Emergency button and does not affect the
radio's Emergency button operation.
How to Program the Radio (Required)
Radios can be programmed using existing Radio Service Software
(RSS) or Customer Programming Software (CPS)

Set to short time period. 0 to 1 second is
Pre-Alert Delay
suggested.

suggested.
Attaching and Removing the Belt/Swivel Clip
To attach the belt/swivel clip:

Attach and slide the belt/swivel clip down the grooved rails on
the back of the RSM.

Push firmly until it clicks into place.
To remove the belt/swivel clip:

Insert the flat blade of a small screwdriver (or like instrument)
between the release tab and the back surface of the
microphone.

While holding the screwdriver in place against the release tab,
push the belt/swivel clip toward the top of the microphone until it
moves up and off.

The RMN5038 Emergency RSM is not repairable. It is covered under
the standard Motorola one-year limited warranty. Refer to your
Motorola dealer or point-of-purchase for detailed information on
warranty replacement.
A replacement swivel clip (4205823V01) may be ordered through your
Motorola dealer or by calling Motorola Radio Products Services
Division at 1-800-422-4210.
