Activating/deactivating direct inward
dialling to handsets
If an answering machine is activated, callers can dial the in-
ternal call number of a handset to reach an internal subs-
criber directly. After the ringing tone, the caller hears an an-
nouncement and can then enter the internal number of the
relevant subscriber. If the caller dials an incorrect internal
number or if the subscriber does not answer, a collective
call is issued to all handsets. If the call is not answered, the
answering machine switches itself on. Direct inward dial-
ling is deactivated on delivery.
Call the menu.
Select and confirm.

Function highlighted = on/not highlighted = off.
To change the setting:
Activate/deactivate the function.

Set the number of rings before call pickup by the
answering machine to at least 2 (see page 115) to
ensure that the caller's number can be transferred.
