Ejecting Single Sheets

If you print using software, each sheet is ejected automatically when the end
of the printed page is reached. To manually eject sheets of paper, use either of
the following methods:
• Press and hold down the LF/FF button to execute a forward form
feed.
• Turn the platen knob clockwise.

Loading Paper in the Cut Sheet Feeder (DL3850+Option)

A cut sheet feeder allows automatic printing on single sheets without the need
to manually insert the sheets one-by-one. This can save you a lot of time when
printing long files using single sheets. The DL3850+ printer uses an ASF300
cut sheet feeder. See Chapter 8 for more information on cut sheet feeders
including a double-bin adapter.
See Appendix A to check if your printer supports CSF option.
Before installing the sheet feeder on your printer:
1. Remove the CSF cover L and CSF cover R from the ejection cover. (To
remove the brackets, open the front cover and release their locking
hooks from behind the ejection cover.)

2. Remove the cut sheet stand from the printer.
Mount the two cut sheet feeder mounting brackets on the ejection cover holes,
and then push the feeder down until the brackets snap into place. When a
feeder is mounted, the printer mechanically knows the feeder type and
controls the feeder accordingly.
