The muffler can become extremely hot during nor-
mal operation and cause severe burns. Do not re-
move the muffler while it is hot.
Loosen the muffler clamp bolt [A].
Remove the exhaust pipe holder nuts [B].
Remove the exhaust pipe [C].

Remove the muffler mounting bolts [A].
Remove the muffler [B] backward.
Replace the exhaust pipe holder gasket [A] with a new

sure that the gasket is placed securely outside the ex-
Apply grease to the exhaust pipe gasket.
Tighten the following bolts and nut according to the spe-
cific tightening sequence.
Temporary tighten the exhaust pipe holder nuts [A] first,
and then the muffler mounting bolt (rear) [B].
Torque - Muffler Mounting Bolts: 20 N·m (2.0 kgf·m, 15 ft·lb)
Tighten the front bolt [C] first, and then the rear bolt.
Torque - Exhaust Pipe Holder Nuts: 20 N·m (2.0 kgf·m, 15
Muffler Clamp Bolt [D]: 16 N·m (1.6 kgf·m, 12 ft·lb)
Face the muffler clamp bolt upward.
Tighten the holder nuts first, and then the clamp bolt.
Thoroughly warm up the engine, wait until the engine
cools down, and then retighten the exhaust pipe holder
nuts, and the clamp bolt securely.
