Solving Common
Problems
Before contacting
a Samsung
authorized
service center, perform
the following
simple checks.
They may save you the time and expense
of an unnecessary
call.
Problem
Explanation / Solution
The air conditioner does
not operate at all
t
Check that the circuit breaker used for the air conditioner has not been
triggered.
t
Check that the power cable is plugged into a wall socket and the socket is
switched on, if necessary.
t
Check that the temperature indicator on the unit is lit; if necessary,
press the (L) (On/Off) button on the remote control or unit.
The air conditioner does not
operate with the remote
control
t
Check that there are no obstacles between you and the unit.
t
Replace the remote control batteries if necessary.
t
Check that you are close enough to the unit (seven meters/yards or less).
No beep is heard when you
press the (L) (On/Offl button
on the remote control
t
Check that you are pointing the remote control at the remote control sensor
on the unit.
t
Replace the remote control batteries if necessary.
The air conditioner does not
cool
t
Check that the correct operating mode has been selected(Cool).
t
The room temperature may be too low.
t
Dust may be blocking the air filter; refer to page 17 for cleaning instructions.

Check that there is no obstacle blocking the air flow into or out of the unit.
The timer is not correctly trig-
