Postal/ZIP Code Update
If the Postal Code on record at the Pitney Bowes Data Cen ter does
not match the Postal/ZIP Code of your system, the code will be
down load ed into your system. (When a system is moved to a new
Postal Code, the Data Cen ter en ters the new code into the record. The
system is up dat ed when a con nec tion is made to the Data Cen ter.)
Postal Inspection
The USPS requires a postal inspection of your machine every 120
®
days. This postal inspection requirement can be automatically met
by connecting to the Pitney Bowes Data Center to check your Post-
age By Phone
®
your mailing machine.
If the in ter val between inspections is more than 90 days,

your machine's dis play prompts "Connection Due." If the interval
be tween inspections is more than 120 days, the dis play prompts
"Connection Required By Post." At this point, you won't be able
to use your mailing system until your system is inspected (i.e.,
connected to the Data Center). In either case, to sat is fy the postal
inspection requirement, simply:
• Follow the prompts on the "Connection Due" or "Connection
Required By Post" screens or
• Press Add Postage and select "Check PBP Account Bal-
ance" (which will not decrease or change the funds in your
account).
