Clearing Persistent Storage

Clearing Persistent Storage
The coldboot utility sets all registry settings back to LXE factory defaults. No other clearing is
available or necessary.

Disabling the Touchscreen

To disable the touchscreen, run \Windows\TouchDisable.reg and perform a warm reboot.
To enable the touchscreen, run \Windows\TouchEnable.reg and perform a warm reboot.

Configuring NumLock Behavior

To set NumLock status to On after a reboot, run \Windows\NumLockOn.reg and perform a warm
reboot.
To set NumLock status to Off after a reboot, run \Windows\NumLockOff.reg and perform a warm
reboot.

Disabling the Touchscreen Heater

The touchscreen heater installed in extended temperature VX6's may be disabled.
To disable the touchscreen heater, run \Windows\HeaterDisable.reg and perform a warmboot.
To enable the touchscreen heater, run \Windows\HeaterEnable.reg and perform a warmboot.

These utilities affect the behavior of the touchscreen on warmboot. After a coldboot, the
touchscreen is enabled.
The current status of NumLock can be changed with the <2
keypress sequence, however this method does not change NumLock behavior upon
reboot.

NumLock is enabled.
The touchscreen heater can only be disabled on Platform 2 VX6's. For more
information on identifying the platform version of your VX6, please see
"Identifying your VX6" in Chapter 2, "Physical Description and Layout".

coldboot, the touchscreen heater is enabled.
