Phaser 3140/3155/3160 Printer Service Manual
Before starting any service procedure, switch the printer power Off and unplug the
Power Cord from the wall outlet. If you must service the printer with power applied,
be aware of the potential for electrical shock.
Warning
Do not touch any electrical component unless you are instructed to do so by a
service procedure.
When servicing mechanical components within the printer, manually rotate the
drive assemblies, rollers, and gears.
Warning
Do not try to manually rotate or manually stop the drive assemblies while the
printer motor is running.
Warning
This printer uses heat to fuse the toner image to paper. The Fuser is very hot. Turn
the printer power Off and wait for the Fuser to cool before attempting to service
the Fuser or adjacent components.
