FLICKER FREE DISPLAY
The quality flicker free screen selected for the 820-11 provides easy viewing for the operator. The 24 line, 80
character display is equal to the industry standard for low cost word processors, and exceeds the industry
standards for desk top computers. The display unit for the XEROX 820-11 also contains the processor for the
system which is softloaded and uses the Z80A based microprocessor with 64K RAM memory and 6K ROM.

Conveniently located out of the way under the edge of the right side
panel, this switch controls power for the display and the central
processor. Its location prevents accidental power turn off.
The intensity of the display can be adjusted by the brightness control
located under the edge of the left side panel. The control allows you
to adjust screen intensity for maximum clarity and comfort.
The reset button, positioned at the rear of the unit is used for reini-
tializing the softloaded operating system when changing operating
modes. Pressing this button tells the 820-11 you want to start over
(boot).
