REMOVING THE REAR WHEEL

1. Stand the motorcycle on a level surface.
WARNING
Securely support the motorcycle so that there
is no danger of it falling over.
NOTE:
Place the motorcycle on a suitable stand so that
the rear wheel is elevated.
2. Loosen:
• brake caliper tension bar front bolt 1
3. Remove:

• brake caliper bolts 2
1
• brake caliper tension bar rear bolt 3
• rear brake caliper 4

4. Lift:
• brake caliper tension bar
NOTE:
Do not depress the brake pedal when removing
the brake caliper.
5. Loosen:
• rear wheel axle pinch bolt 5
6. Remove:
• rear wheel axle 6
7. Remove:
• collar
• spacer
• rear wheel assembly
