FRONT WHEEL AND BRAKE DISCS

INSTALLING THE FRONT WHEEL

The following procedure applies to both brake
discs.
1. Lubricate:
• wheel axle
• oil seallips
Recommended lubricant
2. Install:
• front brake disc 1
NOTE:
• Apply LOCTITE ® 648 to the thread of the bolts.
• Tighten the brake disc bolts in stages and in a
crisscross pattern

3. Install:
• front wheel assembly
4. Tighten:
• wheel axle 2
• wheel axle pinch bolt 1

CAUTION:
Before tightening the wheel axle pinch bolt,
push down hard on the handlebar several
times and check if the front fork rebounds
smoothly.
5. Install:
• brake calipers (right/left)
Brake caliper bolt
WARNING
Make sure that the brake hose is routed prop-
erly.

75 Nm (7.5 m•kg)
25 Nm (2.5 m•kg)
42 Nm (4.2 m•kg)
