DTC "47" (C1647): SUPPLY VOLTAGE (INCREASED)
POSSIBLE CAUSE
Faulty regulator/rectifier, faulty battery, faulty wire harness, etc.
NOTE:
When the voltage resumes the normal level, the ABS indicator
light will go off.
Step 1
1) Turn the ignition switch to OFF.
2) Remove the seat. (!DL650K4 7-4)
3) Measure the voltage between the + and - battery terminals
using the multi-circuit tester.
$ Battery voltage: 12.0 V and more
# 09900-25008: Multi-circuit tester set
' Tester knob indication: Voltage (()
Is the voltage over 12 V?
YES
Go to step 2.
NO
Charge or replace the battery.
Step 2
1) Run the engine at 5 000 r/min with the dimmer switch set to
HI.
2) Measure the voltage between the + and - battery termi-
nals.
$ Regulated voltage: 14.0 – 15.5 V at 5 000 r/min
# 09900-25008: Multi-circuit tester set
' Tester knob indication: Voltage (()
Is the voltage 14.0 – 15.5 V?
YES
Go to step 3.
Inspect the regulator/rectifier.
NO
