4.3.4 "PAPER EMPTY"
There are three different error messages on the presence of recording paper. The trouble analysis
changes depending on the type of message.
• When the optional recording paper tray is not installed:
The Paper empty sensor or Paper size sensor has turned OFF.
→ "PAPER EMPTY"
Refer to the case 4.3.5 "UPPER PAPER EMPTY."
• When the one optional recording paper tray is installed:
The Paper empty sensor or the Paper size sensor has turned OFF.
→ "UPPER PAPER EMPTY"
Refer to the case 4.3.5 "UPPER PAPER EMPTY."
The Optional paper empty sensor (Lower-row) or the Optional paper size sensor (Lower-
row) has turned OFF.
→ "LOWER PAPER EMPTY"
Refer to the case 4.3.6 "MIDDLE/LOWER PAPER EMPTY."
The Paper empty sensor, Paper size sensor, Optional paper empty sensor (Lower-row)
and the Optional paper size sensor (Lower-row) have turned OFF.
→ "PAPER EMPTY"
Refer to the case 4.3.5 "UPPER PAPER EMPTY" and 4.3.6 "MIDDLE/LOWER PA-
PER EMPTY."
• When the two optional recording paper trays are installed:
The Paper empty sensor or the Paper size sensor has turned OFF.
→ "UPPER PAPER EMPTY"
Refer to the case 4.3.5 "UPPER PAPER EMPTY."
The Optional paper empty sensor (Middle-row) or the Optional paper size sensor (Middle-
row) has turned OFF.
→ "MIDDLE PAPER EMPTY"
Refer to the case 4.3.6 "MIDDLE/LOWER PAPER EMPTY."
The Optional paper empty sensor (Lower-row) or the Optional paper size sensor (Lower-
row) has turned OFF.
→ "LOWER PAPER EMPTY"
Refer to the case 4.3.6 "MIDDLE/LOWER PAPER EMPTY."
The Paper empty sensor, Optional paper empty sensor (Middle-row) and the Optional
paper empty sensor (Lower-row) have turned OFF.
→ "PAPER EMPTY"
Refer to the case 4.3.5 "UPPER PAPER EMPTY" and 4.3.6 "MIDDLE/LOWER PA-
PER EMPTY."
The Paper size sensor, Optional paper size sensor (Middle-row) and the Optional paper
size sensor (Lower-row) have turned OFF.
→ "PAPER EMPTY"
