2.3 How to Check, How to Clean

When checking or cleaning, follow the procedure below. If any wear or damage is found, refer to
"Chapter 8: Removal/Replacement/Adjustment" to replace such defective part with a new part.
CAUTION:
NOTES:
The following are the parts to be checked or cleaned. If any part is found to be worn or dam-
aged, replace it with a new part referring to "Chapter 8: Removal/Replacement/Adjustment."
1. Scanner guide (refer to Fig.10-2-2)
2. CIS glass surface (refer to Fig.10-2-2)
3. ADF pad assembly (refer to Fig.10-2-3)
4. Pinch roller (refer to Fig.10-2-4)
5. TX drive roller L (refer to Fig.10-2-5)
6. TX drive roller R (refer to Fig.10-2-6)
7. Lower ADF roller (refer to Fig.10-2-6)
8. ADF drive roller (refer to Fig.10-2-7)
9. Laser beam window (refer to Fig.10-2-9)
10. Transfer wire (refer to Fig.10-2-11)
11. Discharge wire (refer to Fig.10-2-11)
12. Base paper guide (refer to Fig.10-2-12)
13. CF roller (refer to Fig.10-2-13)
DP120F/DP125F Preventive Maintenance
Before checking and cleaning, be sure to unplug the Power cord
from the AC outlet.
The fuser is very hot. Do not touch the fuser until it cools down
after turning the power OFF.
Before checking or cleaning, be sure that the residual memory on
the LCD indicates 100% and then turn OFF the Power switch. If the
power is turned OFF with the residual memory less than 100%, the
data stored in memory will be lost.
While the Developer assembly is removed from the machine unit,
cover it with cloth, etc. to prevent the photo-sensitive part from
being deteriorated.
For checking or cleaning, be sure to remove the following parts
beforehand:
Developer assembly, Recording paper tray, Document exit tray
14. Mylar sheet (refer to Fig.10-2-15)
15. Metering blade (refer to Fig.10-2-16)
16. Charger wire (refer to Fig.10-2-17)
17. Front silver contact (refer to Fig.10-2-20)
18. Right side silver contact
(refer to Fig.10-2-21)
19. Rear silver contact (refer to Fig.10-2-22)
20. Laser beam silver contact
(refer to Fig.10-2-23)
21. Ozone filter (refer to Fig.10-2-24)
22. Drum unit silver contact
(refer to Fig.10-2-28)
23. Outside of the machine
