3. Adjustments

At the bottom of the camera there is a small lid. Open the lid carefully by turning it left. Below
the lid you will find a mini-joystick for the OSD control, a switch for adjusting the brightness of
the IR-LEDs and an additional video output for service purposes (connection is being done
by the included adapter).
Once all adjustments are being made, close the lid again. Please make sure that the rubber
gasket is not damaged.

3.1 OSD

The camera adjustments are done by an OSD (on-screen-display) menu using a mini-
joystick. Press onto this joystick and a menu pops up in the video picture. You can now move
the joystick left/right/up/down in order to get to the desired menu item. To confirm your
choice, press onto the joystick (see pictures 2).
For camera VTC-280IRPWDU, it is possible to set the camera parameters via the OSD using
the RS-485 interface, e.g. using an optional keyboard.
See chapter 5 "Camera adjustments via OSD menu" for further details.

3.2 Lens

Lens adjustment (focal length and focus) is done by the two setting screws F and Z
(see picture 2):
F = Focus; Z = Focal length
Carefully turn the screws clockwise or counter-clockwise to adjust the lens according to your
needs.
3.3 IR-LEDs
Using this adjuster, you can define the brightness of the built-in IR-LEDs, e.g. to avoid
irradiation at near objects.
3.4 Additional video connection
This additional video connector can be used with the included adapter, e.g. if you want to
install a monitor during the installation phase in case the regular video cable has already
been laid.

3.5 Sunshield

Ensure to correctly install the sunshield. The inside front of the sunshield has a black anti-
reflex foil. The sunshield has to be mounted in a way that no "bright" area of the inside front
of the camera is to be seen.
