Time to live The interval (in seconds) at
which an H.323 endpoint

SIP configuration

The SIP page (VCS configuration > Protocols > SIP >
disable SIP on the VCS, and configure SIP-specific ports and settings.

SIP mode Enables and disables SIP functionality (SIP
registrar and SIP proxy services) on the VCS.
Default is On.
Registration The period within which a SIP endpoint must re-
expire delta register with the VCS to prevent its registration
(seconds) expiring. Default is 60.

Usage tips
Some older endpoints do not support the ability to
periodically re-register with the system. In this case,
and in any other situation where the system has not had
a confirmation from the endpoint within the specified
period, it will send an IRQ to the endpoint to verify that it
is still functioning.
If the endpoint does not respond, the call will be
disconnected.
The system polls endpoints in a call regardless of
whether the call type is traversal or non-traversal.
To prevent H.323 endpoints being able to register
Gatekeeper automatically with the VCS, set Auto discover to Off.
