2.1 Basic Sequence of Operations at Power-On

Scanner HP sensor (PS39)
Scanning lamp (LA2)
Scanner motor (M3)
*1: Shading adjustment (gain adjustment) is executed 1 sec after the scanning lamp turns
on.
*2: Shading adjustment (CCD original size detection slash level adjustment) is executed 1
sec after the scanning lamp turns on.
2.2 Basic Sequence of Operations in Book Mode

*1: Shading correction (gain adjustment and CCD original size detection slash level adjust-
ment) is executed for every job.
*2: Executed only at the end of a scan job.
