Chapter 2 Hardware Descriptions

This chapter describes the hardware for the OfficeServ 100 system as follows.

Key Service Unit (KSU)

The OfficeServ 100 KSU (see
the following:
Power supply unit
Processing and switching technology
Eight 2B+D digital keyset interfaces
Main Control Processor card (MCP1)
One Internal Music source or an External Music interface for Music–On–Hold and Back-
ground Music
One External Page interface
One general–purpose dry contact
Three universal expansion slots, a MEM card slot (for MCP1), a 2SLI card slot and a
MISC card slot.
Two Champ connectors for external connections, and other connectors for the Expansion
cabinet and the Ring Generator Unit.
MCP1 CARD
The main control card for the system, the MCP1 is mounted in the MEM slot of the main
KSU. It provides:
16 Mbyte NAND flash memory
512K boot flash memory
32 Mb SDRAM memory
2 Mb SRAM data memory (with SP program and data memory)
2K DPRAM for inter-processor communication
a real-time clock
monitoring and LAN status LEDs
a memory clear switch
a 10/100 base T RJ-45 LAN interface
9-pin serial I/O interface.
