This chapter briefl y describes the hardware features of Ovation
MC990D and reviews how to use accessories for your device.
Inserting the device
When you connect Ovation MC990D, the following may occur
once the device has been confi gured correctly:
The device is powered as soon as you connect it to the Type A
USB (version 2.0) port of your computing device. Although the
modem is powered, it does not automatically connect to the
Internet.
The LED indicator on the device lights up.
If sound eff ects are enabled on the computing device, it may
beep, notifying you that new hardware has been detected.
