Inspection
1. Check freeplay:
3/8 13/16 in (10 20 mm)
If necessary, adjust to the specified
range.
Upper Adjustment
Attempt adjustment with the upper clutch
cable adjuster first.

(3) upper lock nut
(4) upper clutch cable

1. Pull back the rubber dust cover ( ).
2. Loosen the upper lock nut ( ).
3. Turn the upper clutch cable adjuster ( )
to obtain the specified freeplay.
4. Tighten the upper lock nut and check
the freeplay again.
5. Return the dust cover to its normal
position.
