Removing and Installing the Print Drum

When replacing with a colour drum or dealing with paper jams, remove the Print Drum, take a necessary procedure,
and then install the drum.
Important!:
• Make sure to place and keep the removed Print Drum horizontal.
• Make sure to place the replaced Print Drum in the drum case and keep it horizontal.

Open the Front Cover.

Check that the indicator of the Print
Drum Release button is on.
If the indicator is off, press the Print Drum Release
button to turn on its indicator.

Note:
• With the Master Making Unit pulled out, you
cannot remove the Print Drum.
Place the Master Making Unit into position, and
then press the Print Drum Release button.

Pull out the Print Drum.
Grasp the Print Drum Handle and pull out the Print
Drum until it stops.

Remove the Print Drum.
Lift the Print Drum with both hands to remove it
from the guide.

Caution:
• Do not touch the connector on the Print Drum.
Neglecting this may result in malfunction of the
Print Drum because of static electricity or other
factors.
