Replacing the Mini PCI Card

CAUTION: Before you perform any of the procedures in this section, follow the safety instructions in the
Product Information Guide.
NOTICE: To avoid electrostatic discharge, ground yourself by using a wrist grounding strap or by periodically
touching an unpainted metal surface (such as the back panel) on the computer.

NOTICE: To avoid damaging the Mini PCI card, make sure the antenna cables are not under the card when you
secure the card into place.
NOTICE: The edge connector is keyed to ensure correct insertion. If you feel resistance, check the connector
and realign the card.
3. Install the new Mini PCI card:
a. Align the notch in the Mini PCI card edge connector with the tab in the connector slot.
b. Slide the Mini PCI card firmly into the slot at a 45-degree angle, and then rotate the card down until it
clicks into place. If you do not feel the click, remove the card and reinstall it.
