UNIVERGE SV8100
VM8000 InMail – Automatic Access to VM by
Enhancements
This feature added with Version 5000.
Description
Before, when a user outside the system accessed their InMail mailbox, they dialed voice mail, then
entered an access code followed by their mailbox number and password (if enabled). Starting with
Version 5000 software a VM8000 InMail mailbox can be associated with a specific caller ID (CID)
number. When the CID number is presented to the InMail it will automatically log the user into their
mailbox. This enhancement improves VM accessibility for outside callers, allowing them to simply dial
the main voice mail number and be automatically logged into their mailbox.
Two types of voice mail access modes exist for this feature.
1.
Specifying the VM Pilot number as a DID/DIL/DISA/VRS destination.
- OR -
Dialing the VM pilot number after calling in from a Mobile Extension.
2.
Program to forward a call to VM (102) by any of following Programs.
Program 22-05-01 (Incoming Ring Group)
Program 22-11-05 (Transfer Target number -1)
Program 22-11-06 (Transfer Target number -2)
Program 25-03-01 (Incoming Ring Group No.)
Program 25-04-01 (VRS/DISA Transfer Ring Group at No answer/Busy)
