Follow Playback during Recording

You can play back the already record-
ed part of the currently recording pro-
gram without waiting for the record-
ing to end. This function works from 1
minute after the start of the recording.

During recording, press
[PLAY B].
Playback will start from the begin-
ning of the program that you are
currently recording.

Using [K / L], select a desired
marker number.When it
reaches the desired point,
press [ENTER].
The title (track) number and the
DVD-Video
time will be displayed.

To return to the marker
later:
Using [K / L], select the
desired marker number. Press
[ENTER].

If you play the fast forward playback
and the playback reaches the scene
recorded 1 minute ago, the for-
warding playback will automatically
return to the normal playback.

Press [STOP C] once to stop
playback.
The resume message will appear.

• To clear a marker, select the
marker number to be cleared,
then press [CLEAR].
• All markers will be erased
when you operate these
operations listed below.
– Opening the disc tray.
– Turning off the power.
– Recording to a recordable
disc.
– Changing the mode
between Original and
Playlist.(VR mode)
• You can mark up to 6 points.

Note
• Playback image may freeze momen-
tarily during the Follow Playback.
However this does not affect the
recording.
• The x1.5 fast forward is not available.
• You cannot change the recording
time length during the Follow
Playback.
• "Wait for a moment. " will be dis-
played on the screen if you press
[PLAY B] within 1 minute of the
start of the recording.
• This function is available only when
you are recording with DVD-RW in
VR mode and the recording speed
of LP, EP, SLP, or SEP.
