2. Tap Accessibility to configure options:
Auto rotate screen: E nable automatic rotation of the screen when you rotate the phone.

Screen timeout: S et a period of time for the screen to remain lit—after which it will dim and

lock.
Lock automatically: L ock the screen in 5 seconds after screen automatically turns off. (This
l
option appears only when a screen lock is enabled.)
Speak passwords: R ead aloud password information.

Answering/ending calls: Accept calls by pressing the
l
pressing the
Show shortcut: D isplay a shortcut to Accessibility settings on the Device options menu.

(The Device options menu displays when you press and hold the Power/Lock Key.)
Manage accessibility: C hoose settings for exporting, updating, and sharing the

accessibility settings as a file.
TalkBack: A ctivate the TalkBack feature and configure options.

Font size: C hange the size of the fonts used on the screen.
l
Magnification gestures: C ontrol whether your phone recognizes gestures to pan, and
l
zoom in or out.
Negative colors: R everse the display of on-screen colors from White text on a Black
l
background to Black text on a White background.
Color adjustment: A djust the color of the screen if you are color blind or have difficulty
l
reading the display because of the screen color. Tap the ON/OFF switch to turn color
adjustment on, then tap Color adjustment for options.
Accessibility shortcut: C ontrol whether your phone recognizes a gesture to quickly enable
l
accessibility features. To use the gesture, press and hold the Power/Lock Key until you
hear a sound or feel a vibration, then touch and hold two fingers on the screen until you hear
an audio confirmation.
Text-to-speech options: C onfigure options for converting text to speech. For more
l
information, see Text-to-speech Options.
Enhance web accessibility: C hoose whether to allow apps to install scripts from Google
l
that make their Web content more accessible.
Sound Balance: C ontrol the signal sent to the left and right when using earphones.

Mono audio: E nable stereo audio to be compressed into a single mono audio stream for
l
use with a single earphone.
