Tethering

Share your phone's mobile data connection via USB or Bluetooth.
1. Press and then tap
2. Tap USB tethering to share your mobile data connection via USB. The Tethering active icon
is displayed on the Status bar.
3. Tap Bluetooth tethering to share your mobile data connection via Bluetooth. For more
information, see Bluetooth.
4. Follow the prompts on the other device to connect and share your phone's mobile data
connection.

VPN

Set up and manage Virtual Private Networks (VPN).
Note: VPN settings include storage of login credentials on your phone. You must configure a
screen unlock pattern, PIN or password before setting up a VPN.
1. Press and tap
2. Tap More networks > V PN.
3. Tap
to add a VPN, with these options:
Name: E nter the name of the VPN.

Type: C hoose the type of VPN: P PTP, L2TP/IPSec PSK, L2TP/IPSec RSA, IPSec Xauth
l
PSK, IPSec Xauth RSA, or IPSec Hybrid RSA.
Server address: E nter the VPN server address.

PPP Encryption (MPPE): T ap to enable, if applicable for the VPN.

Show advanced options: T ap to set other options, depending on the type of VPN.

4. Tap Save to save the VPN.

Roaming

When you are outside your home network area, your phone can still connect to other networks that
your provider supports via roaming. There may be additional costs for accessing networks while
