NOTES
• When playing back a MP3 disc or a DVD VIDEO recorded
with linear PCM audio, you cannot turn on the
KARAOKE function.
• When the KARAOKE function is active, you can specify
a title in a DVD VIDEO disc using the numeric buttons
even during playback. Because most DVD VIDEO discs
assign a title to each song, you can easily select the
desired song using the numeric buttons.
(When the KARAOKE function is inactive, using the
numeric button selects a DVD VIDEO chapter during
playback.)
• During program or random playback, you cannot turn
on the KARAOKE function.

Connect microphone(s) to the MIC 1/2 jack(s)
on the front panel.
NOTES
• While an Audio CD disc is selected (not only during
playback but also while stopped), the input signals from
the MIC 1/2 jacks are not output from the DIGITAL OUT
jack.
• When a DVD VIDEO disc is selected, you can enjoy the
input signals from the MIC 1/2 jacks with the DIGITAL
OUT jack (except recorded with linear PCM audio). In
such case, set the "DIGITAL AUDIO OUTPUT" setting in
the "AUDIO" page of the preference display to "PCM
ONLY" (see page 54).
• To adjust the microphone volume, use MIC 1/2 LEVEL.
Turning it clockwise raises the level, while turing it
counter-clockwise lowers the levels.
