The Email setup wizard helps set up the account for many popular email systems, including those based on
IMAP and POP3. If the service provider requires additional settings, or if the service provider is unknown to
Email, enter the necessary details manually.

Adding an Exchange Email Account

Set up an a Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync account (Exchange 2003 and 2007), to read and work with the
same email as on a computer using Microsoft Outlook. Email supports username and password authentication
for Exchange ActiveSync accounts, and the IT administrator may set additional security policies for the
account (contact the IT administrator for more information).
To add an Exchange Email account:
Touch
> Email.

In the Email address field, enter the account email address.

In the Password field, enter the account password.

Touch Next. To manually setup the account touch Manual.

Touch Exchange. The Server settings window appears.

In the Domain/Username filed,

In the Server field, enter or edit the account server address.

Check or uncheck the Use secure connection (SSL) checkbox.

Check or uncheck the Accept all SSL certificates checkbox.

Touch Next.

Some Exchange server require additional security features. Touch OK.

In the Inbox checking frequency drop-down list, select how often Email checks for new messages.

In the Amount to synchronize drop-down list, select how many days or weeks of emails to store on the

ET1.
Select the Send email from this account by default checkbox to set this account to be the default for

sending emails.
Select the Notify me when email arrives checkbox to provide a notification when a email arrives.

Select the Sync contacts from this account checkbox to synchronize contacts on the ET1 with the

account.
Select the Sync calendar from this account checkbox to synchronize calendar on the ET1 with the

account.
Touch Next.

In the Give this account a name (optional) field, enter a name for the Email account.

Touch Done.

If server requires remote control a window appears.

Touch Activate.
