Diaphragm check

1. Check the diaphragm. Replace if dam-
aged.

Arm check

1. Check the arm 1. Repair if bent.
Replace if damaged.
2. Measure the arm height a.
Arm height a: 0–0.2 mm (0–0.008 in)
TIP:
• Measure the distance between the surface
of the carburetor body b and the top sur-
face of the arm.
• The arm should be resting on the needle
valve, but not compressing it.

Body assy. check

1. Clean the body assy., and then check the
body assy. Replace if damaged.
2. Check the valve (clear film) 1. Replace if
damaged.
TIP:
Always replace the body assy. and valve
(clear film) as a set.

Needle valve check

1. Clean the needle valve assy., and then

TIP:
Always replace the needle valve and needle
valve seat as a set.

Jet and carburetor body check

Do not use a steel wire to clean the jets.
This may enlarge the jet diameters and
seriously affect performance.
