Problem solving guide
All repairs should be performed by
a trained technician in strict accord-
ance with national and local codes.
Any repairs or maintenance per-
formed by unqualified personnel
could be dangerous.
Some minor problems can be resolved
as follows:
What to do if...
... the indicator lamps do not illumi-
nate and the fryer does not heat up
Check whether:
the fryer is turned on.
the safety cut-out feature has been
activated. Turn the control knob to
the off position and feel if the safety
cut-out button has "popped-out". If
the button has "popped-out", refer to
the "Safety Cut-out" section.
the fryers' electrical circuit has blown
a fuse or "tripped" the circuit breaker.
If power cannot be restored, it may be
necessary to contact the Miele Techni-
cal Service Department.

... the oil has an unpleasant odor
Check whether the oil:
is rancid and needs changing
is recommended for deep frying.
... the food is not crisp and brown or
has an oily taste
Determine if the oil is hot enough and
that the frying basket was not over-
loaded. Correct as needed.
