Troubleshooting

This section may help you isolate the cause of a problem and as a result, eliminate the need to contact your Sony service
representative.
Symptom
The picture that you wish to
display is not displayed.
The color is not displayed
correctly.
The signals are not displayed in
the multi display.
The whole area is not displayed.
The signal input from BKM-227W
or BKM-229X is not displayed
correctly.
The pixel zoom does not function. The native scan mode is not selected. Set to the native scan mode (page 78).
The marker is not displayed.
The signal is not displayed in
interlace mode.

Troubleshooting
Assumed causes
The setting of the Input Configuration
menu does not correspond to the input
signal.
The color temperature is not set
correctly.
The setting of the emulation or the
Matrix/Gamma is not correct.
Condensation occurs on the RGB
sensor surface of the backlight part.
The input signals of INPUT 1 and
INPUT 2 of one input adaptor are
selected.
The reference signal is not input (No
Sync status).
The internal signal is selected as
signal A.
The internal signal is selected as
signal B.
When the V (vertical) size of the
display is over 1080, the some area is
covered with the 16:9 frame.
The auto chroma/phase/matrix
adjustment has not been performed.
The display is set in the multi display
or the pixel zoom display.
The DVI Computer signal or the
computer signal of HDMI is displayed.
The internal signal is displayed.
The signal is displayed in H delay
mode or V delay mode.
The interlace signal is not input.
The signal is set to 1080PsF in 1080I/
PsF (page 52) of the Input
Configuration menu.
The native scan mode is not selected. Set to the native scan mode (page 78).
Remedy
See the Status menu (page 70) to confirm the
setting.
When the setting is different from the input signal,
set in the Input Configuration menu (page 48).
Set the color temperature in the Color Temp menu
(page 50) of the Input Configuration menu.
Set in the Color Gamut menu (page 53) of the
Display Setting menu or Matrix/Gamma menu
(page 50) of the Input Configuration menu.
Turn off the power and allow the unit to dry.
Install two or more adaptors and use the different
input adaptor for signal A and signal B.
Input the reference signal.
The internal signal is not displayed in the multi
display.
Remove the 16:9 frame to set the aspect ratio to
16:10 (page 19).
Carry out the auto chroma/phase/matrix adjustment
to display the signal input from BKM-227W or BKM-
229X.
Set Side by Side to Off in the Function Switch menu
(page 59) of the Display Function menu. Set the
Pixel Zoom button to off.
The marker is not displayed when the DVI
Computer signal or the computer signal of HDMI is
input.
The marker is not displayed when the internal
signal is input.
The marker is not displayed in H delay mode or V
delay mode.
Input the interlace signal.
Set to 1080I.
