Using WEP This section explains how to perform the wireless configuration for the XJ200 using WEP, or Wired Equivalent Privacy. WEP is a security protocol for wireless local area networks (WLANs) defined in the 802.11b standard. This protocol encrypts data over radio waves so it is protected as it is transmitted from one point to another.
