This chapter contains instructions on installing expansion cards in
your computer. It is important that you read this chapter before
purchasing a card. If, having read the installation instructions, you
do not feel confident about installing the upgrade yourself you may
wish your supplier or service organisation to fit the card for you.
Before you start installing the card you should be thoroughly
familiar with the instructions. The only tool required is a small
cross-head screwdriver.
Appendix A, "Inside the System Unit" provides: a guide to recommended
anti-static precautions, instructions on how to remove the system
unit cover, and information on the motherboard jumpers.
