ADJUSTING HASSLE FREE HARNESS™ HEADREST OR BACKREST
Correct fitment of the harness is very important as it restrains the child in the restraint. The headrest or
backrest must be in the correct position & the harness must fit firmly around upper torso of the child
and be positioned so as to leave the child's arms and legs free.
For children in rearward facing mode the headrest or backrest must be in the position where the top of
the shoulder strap slots are nearest to the child's shoulders, but not lower than the child's shoulders.
Instructions for adjusting the headrest is on the next page. If your child has reached the lower shoulder
height marker then the restraint may be converted for forward facing (Refer to Forward Facing section
from page 29).
1. The shoulder straps must be positioned
nearest to the child's shoulders, but not
lower than the child's shoulders. There
is only one set of slots so the seat will
always have the shoulder straps in
place once the headrest is positioned
correctly.
2. The insert pad may be used for rearward
facing for small babies.
3. Discontinue the use of the insert pad if
there is insufficient room for the child
or shoulders have reached the lower
shoulder height marker.
